Facial carpet burn
Rug burn is an injury that many people experience at some point in life. You might recall having rug burn after falling on a carpet as a child, or your own children may occasionally end up with a painful rug burn wound. Also called a friction burn or carpet burn, rug burn occurs when the skin rubs or slides against an abrasive surface like a rug or carpet. Even though rug burns can be minor, these injuries are a type of first-degree burn. If you fall down and your bare skin comes in contact with a rug or carpet, the friction from the fall may generate enough heat to remove or damage the top layer of your skin, resulting in a burn-like mark. Although rug burn occurs with carpet, these types of wounds can also occur after falling on tile floors and concrete.

Rug Burns Overview: Symptoms, Severity, Treatment
This is almost funny if i wasnt serious, but I am not laughing. I got my hair done and apprently even though i never had this issue ever and color my hair every three weeks the dye was being stubbon next to my ear and wouldnt come off. I had neosporin on it last night as well as aquaphor. Its like the size of a quarter. I also find that putting a bandaid on during the day to avoid irritation and changing it twice a day makes a difference. You just need to put it on and leave it alone for like 48 hours.
How to Treat a Rug Burn
If you have a carpet burn, help it heal faster by treating the area immediately. Cleanse the wound right away and apply an antibacterial cream to prevent infection. Run cool water over the carpet burn every hour or 2 to help soothe discomfort. Apply aloe to help speed healing and relieve pain, or try spreading honey over the carpet burn to relieve itching. Wash your hands before treating the carpet burn.
A friction burn is a form of abrasion caused by the friction of skin rubbing against a surface. A friction burn may also be referred to as skinning , chafing , or a term named for the surface causing the burn such as rope burn , carpet burn or rug burn. Because friction generates heat , extreme cases of chafing may result in genuine burning of the outer layers of skin. The dermal papillae may be exposed after top layers of the dermis stratum corneum , stratum granulosum , stratum spinosum and stratum basale have been removed.
